Course Description Sixth Grade Language Arts The PA English/Language Arts Academic Standards serve as the focus of instruction for students as they become better readers, writers, speakers, listeners, and thinkers. Our goal is to help students become better communicators. II. Materials /Equipment/Resources Selections from McDougal Littell Literature McDougal Littell Grammar for Writing Various magazine and newspaper articles Articles and information from the internet Text Books (Science, Math, Social Studies) Self-selected or teacher selected novels according to students’ interests or independent reading level.
